Sylvie Trudel has worked since 1985 in software development and software process improvement in various fields such as aerospace, insurance, banking, scientific sector and public and private organizations. In 2012, she became a software engineering professor at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), after completing her Master and Ph.D. at École de Technologie Supérieure (ETS). She currently teaches Software Project Management, Agile Software Development and Software Measurement. She is co-author of the book Choisir l’Agilité : Du développement logiciel à la gouvernance (Choosing Agility: From software development to governance) published by Dunod (France) in the fall of 2011 (voted best French informatics book in 2012). She has worked as a senior advisor in software engineering since 1996 and as an agile coach after her Scrum Master certification in May 2006. She was a lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke, where she taught the software measurement course to software engineering graduate students, including functional size measurement with the COSMIC method (ISO 19761 Std).
