ATMTL 2019-Overcoming DevOps Cultural Anti-Patterns (French presentation)

Abstract

Are you struggling to implement or scale DevOps? If so, chances are your organization has at least one or several cultural anti-patterns impeding your DevOps capabilities, most probably deriving from legacy practices. After a brief history of software life-cycles leading to DevOps, we present a series of cultural anti-patterns affecting the software delivery performance and the organizational performance. Anti-patterns are linked with DevOps capability categories (Technical, Management, Product Development, and Leadership). Solutions are provided to eliminate or alleviate these anti-patterns. Finally, real-life examples from authors experience are given to help understand the transition that was required from applied anti-patterns to efficient DevOps capabilities. This presentation should help you to identify the anti-patterns and address them.
