Confoo YUL 2020 - Lightning Talks - Why large Open Space

Abstract

This year I attended the Confoo 2020 conference in Montreal. Confoo organizers offer the attendees a special opportunity to become presenter themselves and share their ideas with others as “lightning talks”.

Lightning talks are very short and often improvised presentations that take place just after the official event. These talks only last 5 minutes but are a great opportunity to share a topic that we and the audience is passionate about.

I took that opportunity and prepared a small presentation on a cultural AntiPattern that, although not linked to a specific DevOps capability, affects the overall productivity of the employees. I’m talking about LARGE open space offices. I include the PDF of the presentation I built for that event.
